Katy Baker, MS

Katy joined the Philadelphia DBT team after completing her clinical internship with the practice. She is a Master's level clinician holding a degree in Trauma Therapy. With sensitivity to trauma in the forefront, her therapeutic practice places emphasis on adverse experiences and their impact on a person’s health and development across the lifespan.

Katy views wellness from a holistic lens, by taking the interconnection of mental and social factors into account rather than just symptom presentation. Katy’s practice is heavily influenced by gestalt, humanistic, person-centered, and psychoanalytic theory. She believes that overall health and wellness can be achieved and increased through the integration of skills training and mindfulness practice.
