What is

                DBT?

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) is a cognitive behavioral treatment that was created by Marsha Linehan, Ph.D. to treat symptoms of Borderline Personality Disorder. DBT is used to treat several mental health disorders including Anxiety, Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

A comprehensive DBT program such as that offered by Philadelphia DBT, has four modes of treatment: Individual DBT Therapy, DBT Skills Training group, Phone coaching and a DBT Consultation team.


If you are experiencing intense and rapidly changing emotions, have chaotic relationships and engage in impulsive behaviors including self harm behaviors, suicidal behaviors, eating disorder behaviors and/or substance abuse, DBT is the program for you.
 

The DBT program will teach you skills to reduce or eliminate your symptoms, obtain a positive view of yourself and your situation and gain a life worth living.
